Between Nov. 20 and 22, Mr. Sergio Balbinot, the Generali Group Chief Insurance Officer and Vice Chairman of Generali China Life Insurance attended the” International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong Province (ICCFED)2013” in Guangzhou as the provincial governor economic advisor. The theme of this conference was “expand opening-up& build international competitiveness”. Mr. Balbinot submitted a consultative report entitled “Promote the industrial technology cooperation” to the governor. This report explained the role of high technology in helping the” Guangdong Production “development pattern changed into “Guangdong Creation” pattern, it also pointed out some ideal technology development areas available for international cooperation from the perspective of Generali Group.

On Nov.20 morning, Mr. Balbinot and Zhu Xiaodan, the governor of Guangdong province had a cordial talk before the conference started. On Nov.21 morning, Mr. Balbinot made a speech on the content of his consultant report. On Nov.22 afternoon, Mr. Balbinot visited the Guangdong financial hi-tech service zone located in Foshan city, nanhai district.

ICCFED dates from 1999, as a high level international consultative conference held by People’s government of Guangdong province, it aims to collect opinions and suggestions on the economic development and the modernization construction of Guangdong province from the economic advisors, at the mean time, to strengthen the cooperation between Guangdong province and the world famous multinational companies, educational and scientific research institutions and promote their development in Guangdong. This year conference was its 9th session, 18 senior executives from world famous multinational companies and renowned experts were invited.
